My how time flies #2

Wow.... April 7th. It's been THAT long since I wrote?

Well guess I should just dive right in and get everyone caught up!

I started teaching in our Christian Academy this year. That will not be surprising to anyone that knows me, what is surprising is that it's High School, not Elementary.

I'm teaching Economics (which I LOVE), and Physical Science (not so fond of this subject).

Our financial journey over the years is a daily motivation to help these kids understand. Actually, I have a true desire to help them understand both subjects, Economics is just a little more personal. I've told the kids a few times already that I believe other than their Bible class, Economics is probably the most important class they have. (that's just my opinion)

Part of me wishes I was teaching 3rd grade, but there are a few reasons why I went with high school instead.

* #1 reason ~ I am done by 11:15 am so I still have half the day with my baby girl. I only have this year and next then she'll be in school ALL day.

* as much as I love Carson Delosa and all the cute "school stuff," it's costly and time consuming. I LOVE bulletin boards, but again.... it's is costly and time consuming.

* my children are still 9 and under. I consider working with teenagers "research" or preparation for the years just ahead of me : )

* honestly, I feel like the proverbal "broken record" at home so it has been encouraging to give a command once and know it will be followed through. This is in no way a complaint, my kids are still young and learning.

Speaking of my kids... it's time to get ready for school so until next time....

My how time flies! I can't believe it has been so long since I posted here.

Of course there has been a lot going on since my last post, perhaps someday I'll get around to sharing it. (I wish!)

I wanted to post a picture of the kids in their Easter clothes, but I've been sick for a few days and wasn't able to go to church yesterday or get any pictures. (There's nothing like Texas weather and the temperature dropping 30+ degrees in one day to throw your respiratory system for a complete loop!) I am praying someone at church got a picture or two for me.

Guess that's it for now. I'll write again soon... honestly!
